Buck Ridge Plantation - Hunting
preserve, all-inclusive private resort
Tucked away in the rolling forests of the South
Carolina Midlands
is a private hunting preserve and retreat known as Buck
Ridge Plantation.
Pristine and unspoiled, Buck Ridge boasts more than 6,000
acres of land of carefully managed natural habitat. Wildlife
is plentiful, including whitetail deer, turkey, pheasant, chukar
and quail.
 |
Buck Ridge Plantation enjoys
one of the longest whitetail deer
seasons in the country, running
from August 15 to January 1. This
allows you the option of harvesting
a buck in velvet.
Throughout the season you can
use the weapon of choice: rifle,
bow, crossbow, pistol, shotgun or
muzzleloader; there is no set season
for types of weapons.

The hunting is both challenging and rewarding, supported
by guides who are savvy in the habits of local game. A kennel
of top pointers and spaniels is eager to join the hunt.
More
than shooting sports, Buck Ridge Plantation is a superb getaway
and special event destination for small groups or large gatherings
seeking a destination exclusive to their event. The facilities
are expansive yet entirely private. The accommodations are comfortable,
even luxurious. The cuisine is a tempting combination of Southern
Lowcountry with a gourmet flair. There is always something to
do, whether relaxing at poolside or exploring the trails on
the back of a spirited horse. Your enjoyment is the top priority
at Buck Ridge Plantation.
